Remember When……..

Reference Scripture: Daniel 3:23-25 NLT

23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?”

They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.”

25 “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

This life is full of trials and tribulations. The popular opinion is that being a Christian should exempt us from some of these trials and tribulations, but this is incorrect. The Word says it rains on the just and the unjust alike. The difference is that those who believe in Christ have divine help through their struggles. God will not remove trouble from the path of a believer; instead, He sends help to make sure that the believer will make it through. Everyone faces the trials of life, but those who trust in God have a reason to praise their way through it.

Note To Self……

Reference Scripture: Romans 8: 37 NKJV

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Stop! Breathe………. Yes, it is hard right now, and it seems like there will be no relief anytime soon. You have made it this far. Yes, you might have made some mistakes, and you may have stumbled along the way, but you made it this far. You did not do it by your might nor by your power but by the grace and the power of God. He did not bring you this far to leave you now. Take heart that nothing can or will separate you from the love of God. You can overcome anything this world can throw at you. You will overcome because He loves you, and the plan He has for you is not for your destruction!

Leaving The 99 For The One

Scripture Reference: Matthew 18:12-14 NLT

12 “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders away, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? 13 And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn’t wander away! 14 In the same way, it is not my heavenly Father’s will that even one of these little ones should perish.

It is easy to bask in the grace of the Lord, forgetting where we once were and the things that we once liked doing that separated us from God. But now that we are found, it is the duty of every believer to help others come into the understanding that Jesus Christ is alive and still saving. Because once you too were lost, and because He left the 99 to come and find you, He will leave the 99 to find others as well. Every life is worth saving, every life is sacred, every life is precious to God.
